Title: Both Microsoft Defender and Avast antivirus active

Hi all...

Recently I have updated the latest avast free antivirus. I did not do online update but I downloaded free offline installer, then I uninstalled current installation and reinstalled using offline installer, I always click minimum protection.
And I noticed something, windows defender is active. In the past, when I click on windows defender a warning pop up used to appear: you have already have an antivirus etc... maybe avast maybe windows itself used to deactivate windows defender but now (avast 22.5 free) both antivirus is active. Is this normal?

windows 8.1 64 bit. thanks.

Repair Avast:
1. Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting
2. Click on 'REPAIR APP'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Thanks. This method solved problem .now windows defender is deactivated.
