Title: Blue screen error (kmode_exception_not_handled) with aswVmm.sys
Post by: marc007smets on July 19, 2022, 02:43:04 PM
Hi,

I am currently getting blue screen errors (kmode_exception_not_handled) with aswVmm.sys.
The version of Avast Premium Security I am running is 22.6.6022 (build 22.6.7355.732) and my Windows 10 version is 21H1 build 19043.1826

How can I resolve this blue screen issue ?

Hello, can you please generate a support package?  It can be generated/sent using Avast UI (Settings->Troubleshooting->Send logs (you need to scroll down on the troubleshooting page to show "Send logs" button)).

Thank you

Hello,

Support file is generated and, I guess, automatically sent to you. The "File ID" is 6JT7U.

Thank you, I have checked the package. Unfortunately, the only attached kernel minidump doesn't point to aswVmm at all. I am afraid full kernel dump would be necessary to analyze the issue, can you please provide it? Usually it is stored (after BSOD reboot) in C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. But in your case it is automatically deleted because of (message from System event log): "The dump file at location: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP was deleted because the disk volume had less than 25 GB free space."

Thank you
