Title: BSOD with recent update
Post by: justinkb on July 24, 2022, 07:34:04 PM
An update to the antivirus engine pushed early this week (around 6-7 days ago) has almost surely been causing BSOD issues.

Refer to this thread for more information https://www.computerbase.de/forum/threads/brauch-bitte-help-hab-ich-einen-virus.2094705/

It happens with both AVG and Avast users, it causes crashes with well-known good .sys drivers such as RivaTuner's RTCore64.sys and CPU-Z and GPU-Z low-level drivers.

I have had to uninstall the antivirus because my PC would crash every 10 minutes randomly.

I'm running the beta version of Avast free on a windows 11 computer without any problems.

Justinkb thank you for reporting. Could you please update your Avast AV to latest version (VPS 220726-00 from today morning) and let us know whether those BSODs stop happening.
