I have the "Patch Tuesday Special" of ZoneAlarm AntiSpyware. It includes ZA Pro fw.
I went to PC Flank site to do a fw check & ZAAS blocked PC Flank's site, also got a pop-up from ZAAS notifying me it blocked the site as "Spy".
Does PC Flank have a bad rep? Is it a spyware site?
I had no trouble with Shields UP, passed 100%.
On my laptop with Spyware Terminator & PC Tools fw+ I had no trouble with PC Flanks site, passed 100%. Shields Up, 100% also.

I would have thought that the whole idea of trying to bypass a firewall may be considered malicious by anti-spyware, etc.
avast detects many firewall bypass files as it isn't to know if this is legit or malicious use. It detects the zabypass.exe and breakout.exe that I know of but it doesn't detect pcflankleaktest.exe (very old copy that I have on my system).

David,
Maybe I missunderstood you, but avast! didn't block PC Flank's website, ZAAS blocked it.
-
That is what I said it is considered malicious by some ant-spyware/virus software although not detected by avast it is by the ZA anti-spyware, so there is nothing strange in that because of its actions.
Submit it to virustotal and you will probably see others consider it malware or a tool, etc.

Thank you.
It seems PC Flank is on ZAAS's block list as I didn't get a chance to click on any test. The block of the site was instant.

If the site is on a block list, seems they are trying to avoid the test and possibly failing it.

I found the setting to unblock PC Flank in ZAAS. I tested ZAAS (ZA Pro fw) with PC Flank & it passed 100%. I'm not surprised, ZA free always passed.
Maybe PC Flank is a fp in ZAAS (ZoneAlarm AntiSpyware [includes ZA Pro fw]).
