Title: Outlook 365 Sending emails fails
Post by: Markus14 on August 05, 2022, 03:35:27 PM
This error message appears when sending emails in Outlook 365. If Avast is deactivated, the email can be sent without any problems.
It is enough even if I uncheck SMTP in the email protection module.
Is there a solution?

I'm having a similar issue with some users of the free Avast antivirus and Outlook 2007.

When sending an email, they receive a bounceback email like the one I've attached. If Avast is disabled, emails send fine.

Also attached is the release version of Avast they're using. Seems to have started yesterday in the two cases I've encountered.

Hi,

Can you disable the following only and let me know if it helps, please?
Menu> Protection> Core Shields> Mail Shield>  untick, "Scan outbound emails (SMTP)"

This solution solved my problem. Thank you!
