Title: Windows Hello Camera Blocked
Post by: Murray22 on August 11, 2022, 09:06:51 AM
After the latest Avast update Windows Hello biometric facial recognition has stopped working.
When I disable shields this works again.
I have tried looking in the webcam control to see if I can allow this specific module to use the camera but I can't find the correct application to allow.
I could disable Webcam Protection in Avast but this should just work.
Any advice welcome

Hi,

Our developers are working on a fix. I, unfortunately, do not have an ETA.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you.  I'm having the same problem, and am unable to sign in via face recognition on a Surface 4 Laptop, running Windows 11.  Please let me know when a fix is available.
