Hello ASB community,
We’re pleased to announce that we have released a new version of Avast Secure Browser (ASB) for macOS - version 104.0.
This version includes major Chromium update including a security patch, new improvements and minor fixes, including the following:
- You now get a warning when browsing on an unsecure Wi-Fi.
- We’ve replaced a few icons in the VPN settings, so it is clearer to use, for example the optimal location icon.
- Built-in shopping assistant that allows you to track prices, access coupons and more.
- Built-in privacy protection that blocks every ad, tracker and more. With Privacy Guard adjust the level of privacy you want from basic ad and tracker protection to a more advanced and free browsing experience. Enhance your privacy and safeguard your online identity! Don’t just compromise! Be the boss of your data!
- Built-in malware protection, Web Shield, is a browser-integrated system that acts as a first line of defense against malicious threats you may encounter while browsing the web. Our new technology checks every website you visit for potential malware programs, from simple adware and phishing scams to more sophisticated threats like spyware and ransomware. And it works right at your computer's primary gateway to the internet: your web browser. Web Shield keeps you safe by notifying you of potential cyber threats, and it blocks sites from installing potentially harmful software or programs onto your computer.
- Fixed issue when new tab was shown in the search tab menu.
- When adding an address or a part of it in Autofill, ‘Country / Region’ has been automatically set up as Hungary. This should be fixed now ;)
- Cookies import process has been optimized and now works flawlessly!
- Opening bookmarks in the tab group was fixed and polished.
- We fixed other bugs that you probably didn't even notice them before

How to get this latest version
If you have ASB already installed, it should be updated automatically (feel free to visit 'secure://settings/help' to trigger an update faster)
