Title: Webcam Shield and Microsoft Teams Problem
Post by: Naiara on August 25, 2022, 09:53:33 AM
Hello,
I am using Webcam Shield on Avast Premium Security product with version 22.7.6025 (build 22.7.7403.744) and Microsoft Teams with version 1.5.00.21463 (64-bit).

The problem is that every time I open Teams and activate the Webcam, Teams throws an error and restarts.

If I disable the Webcam Shield module it works fine.

I have added Teams as an allowed app from the path C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Teams\current\Teams.exe

I have also changed the mode of Webcam Shield between Smart Mode and Strict Mode.

Any suggestion?

Thank you

Hi Naiara, sorry about the trouble! We just released a new program update 22.8 that should fix similar issues. Could you please update your Avast, restart your computer, and check if the problem persists?

To update to 22.8, please open Avast, go to - Menu - Settings - General - Update - and click the second "CHECK FOR UPDATE" button.

Please let me know if it worked.
