Title: Avast is hanging on shutdown

Avast has begun to hang on shutdown, eventually it is necessary to turn off with power button.
I have the following programmes - Premium security, Clean up, secure line and Anti-track.
A message stating ''aswbIDSAgent service is shutting down'' appears, but does not go any further.
Please help

It is the weekend, and a holiday weekend here in UK, so you may need extra patience.

Can we assume you have updated to latest avast version 22.8 and have done a "Restart" after.

You could also do a Repair of Avast
Open the Avast UI then:
Menu>Settings>Troubleshooting scroll down and hit [Repair App]

More information would certainly be helpful.
What Operating system? What version of Avast?
What other Security related apps are running?
The mor information you supply, the easier it is to solve the problem.
I personally haven't experienced the problem you describe.

Have you tried an Avast Repair  ?
If not try - AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General > Troubleshooting > APP Repair - Restart after completion.

Have updated and restarted.

Did you try the Avast Repair as suggested  ?

Not yet, I will do after the full virus scan has finished.
