Title: Avast Web Shield blocking Google SXG requests (webpkgcache.com)
Post by: Abdelrahman on September 04, 2022, 03:02:20 PM
Google SXG is a new technology for delivering instant fast webpages in results, you can find info here:
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/experience/signed-exchange

However Avast Web Shield is blocking browsing webpkgcache.com, as a false positive for phishing/deceptive content as seen in the attached screen shot.

I hope this message reaches the appropriate team at avast.

I don't know if this is more ASB than Web Shield or not - but you might want to check this information as it seems to have some security issues.
https://en.internet.nl/site/webpkgcache.com/1697502/#
Whilst this one considers it a Low Security Risk - https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/webpkgcache.com - but with some Hardening Improvements.

However Firefox throws up an HTTP security warning page about this domain name if you try to visit directly.

It is 100% legitimate domain owned by Google, you can read more at: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/experience/signed-exchange

I tried using a VPN and it worked, seems it is blocking my country (Egypt)
Successfully submitted the false positive.

So it's not Avast that's doing the blocking but your country.
