Title: Random Avast Crashes - disconnects Internet

Need some help - this has been happening for the past couple months. Throughout the night I find Avast mysteriously crashes (I see the error in event viewer) and it appears to disconnect my internet. What's odd is I still have access to my LAN so I can see and access networked computers but have zero access to the Internet. A restart fixes the problem but this is getting annoying. I noticed other users in the forum complaining of similar symptoms in older posts but can't seem to find how they  (if they) resolved the issue.
