Hello,

I had a major problem with my phone that forced me to format it to factory settings without being able to retrieve a backup of the 2FA application from my Avast web account (Avast One Essential product) in the Microsoft Authenticator application.

Unfortunately, my backup code to disable 2FA from my Avast account was also on my phone.

On other sites and applications with which I encountered this problem, it could be solved by providing from my email address to the concerned support, information allowing me to identify myself (name, first name, date of birth, serial number, secret questions...) and then to disable the 2FA temporarily.

Would this also be possible in order to unlock my Avast account?

For information, I had to create a new account in order to post this message on the Avast forum.

Hello,

Problem solved by contacting the support at this web page : https://support.avast.com/fr-fr/contact/dsr#pc

I explained my problem and said that I wanted to get back to my data and account.

After more than one month by mail contact, Avast senior team temporary disabled the 2FA on my Avast account.
