Well Avast can't really be responsible for the content of other sites

What is interesting is that site, even though the link is for https - the site doesn't appear to have an https function (so my browser rejects it, per my settings) - it also doesn't appear to have been updated for some considerable time... 

So I would agree that should be removed from the Avast page and the page updated.

Also you say, PUPS and viruses?, PUPs aren't viruses per-say, what is wanted or unwanted is in the eyes of the beholder.

I see nothing within that article that leads to a virus.
If you can point that out, I'd be happy to forward the information on to Avast. Thanks
As far as PUP's, one persons utility could be another persons unwanted program.
