Title: Avast One (free) killed a game

Installed Avast yesterday. It seems to be working properly, but when I tried to open an old game, Eufloria from Omni Systems, it flashed a popup that this app is safe, then the game stalls at a screen showing SDL_app. I have to go to Task Manager to end task.

Windows 10x64. I rebooted then tried loading the game from another copy on my backup drive, same result. My guess is that Avast damaged a file when it scanned the game. Any suggestions?
