Title: Why won't Resident Protection start?

Hi everybody,

My situation is exactly like the case at: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=32206.0 (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=32206.0)
The difference is that I would like to continue using Comodo Firewall rather than installing a different firewall. Also, my previous antivirus was Norton Antivirus. I've done what the thread said and added the different files to Comodo's trusted apps files like Tech said. Is there anyway to solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

1) Remove NAV through Add/Remove programs from Control Panel. Boot.
2) Use Norton Removal Tool for Windows 2000/XP/Vista (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Norton_Removal_Tool_for_Windows_2000XPVista/1169144666/1).
3) Boot.
4) Install avast! (or repair the installation) and boot.
5) See what you get.

Thanks for the reply Tech. Well it seems everything seems to working fine now. It says six out of seven providers are running though, that's always the most it's went up to. Hopefully, the Resident Protection will stay working. If it acts up again though, I'll be back. ;)

Most probably, it's the Outlook plugin.
As reported a lot of times, the message "The provider is waiting on the subsystem to start" will be shown there until you open MS Outlook.
The plugin will be enabled automatically after that.
If you don't use MS Outlook, don't worry, 6 of 7 providers are ok.

Argh! Ok, I don't why this is happening again but I'm here again because Resident Protection isn't starting. I don't know what to do now... anybody have any ideas?
