Title: After rebooting..lost windows file?

Hi, it happened now twice.After a reboot virus check, I saw troj. horses, worms and other stuff. So I decided to 'move to chest. But now if my system starts up it always says: Cannot find C:\WINDOWS\sprt_ads.dll who can tell me what to do/ In English or German. Thanks for your help. Isanmike Greetings from Thailand ???

hi,

the file your system is talking about is not the system file. THis is a virus file, sounds like it has set up in the startup.

Use this and I will help remove it

Download & Run HijackThis.exe

• Download HJTInstall.exe (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe) to your Desktop.
  
• Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
  
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
  
• Click on Install.
  
• It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
• Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
  
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  
• Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.
  

Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
