Title: You are connected to a new network
Post by: matejvc on March 06, 2024, 09:31:28 AM
Hello, I have a problem. I have a desktop PC connected via LAN. Every time I turn the PC off and on, avast notifies me: you are connected to a new network and by default sets it as public access. I have to manually switch to Trust this network / Private network, otherwise my SMB and devices on the local network remain blocked.
I have also set a default IP for my PC in the router, however no change and when I turn on the PC this keeps repeating.
In the avast firewall settings I could not find how to permanently set my home network as trusted.
Please advise.

I will add that if I uninstall avast, and Windows defender is set by default, the network is correctly saved as private and I don't have to set it manually every time I turn on the PC.
