Title: Is Avast 4.7 Compatible with Vista
Post by: motormadmarc on January 21, 2008, 01:39:36 PM
Hi All   ;)

I've been using Avast now for some time with no problems , Until now that is  >:(

I've recently bought a new Desktop computer and it's operating system is windows Vista .The problem is that i keep getting a warning message telling me that Windows cannot locate any Anti virus software on my pc   ???

I've Just installed Avast 4.7 Home  from  http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=avast&tag=srch
and the anti virus is working perfectly , including the updates .

Is there any way of solving this problem , or should i just ignore the warning from windows ,
Many thanks ,

Mark   ;D

You have to browse for the avast file in your programs and tell the computer that it is there...

Do this by right clicking or I think double clicking on the antivirus warning thingy... Then goto something leading you to find an antivirus program.

Click browse, goto programs, windows, avast!, and find the .exe file.. That would be a lil blue ball with an A on it....
