Title: Problem with Avast is actively scanning ESENT files

My computer froze whenever the Avast automatic update is downloaded. It also froze when I am on the internet and an error message  appears indicated that the AV is actively scanning Esent files and froze up the computer. How can I fix this problem Thanks.
