Post by: koos17 on February 27, 2008, 06:40:51 PM
hi im new with avast and i have avast pro 4.7

today i sent somebody a pm in the clan where i am in (portal.tawclan.net) but when sending the pm. avast popped up and told me there was a virus called: unp204964217.tmp.

it says it is a VBS:Malware-gen.

does this mean that the website (portal.tawclan.net) is infected? can i just delete this virus?

please help.

That was a temporary file of avast. It shouldn't be detected as being infected.
Please, update your avast installation (virus database) and see if it happens again.
You can delete that file (or, safer, send to Chest). If avast does not allow it, you can set to delete the file on next boot.
