Good evening,
I have just returned to the Avast! 'fold' after a year with the competition and I am curious about something.
When I save anything to my desktop and then try to run a scan on it with Avast! the scan goes so fast I can't even read what is happening no matter what size file I am checking. Is this normal? ???
Thanks and regards,

Howdy,
Call off the dogs!
I did a little 'nosing' around in the Avast 'Settings' page and in the 'Common' section I checked a few Explorer Extension boxes that previously were unchecked.
Now, I can see the results of the Avast! scan in a small window instead of just seeing a quick flash on the screen.
Thanks and regards,

Yep, that's normal. If you want to see the results, right click the"a" icon, select program settings, check "show results of explorer extention".
They don't call it ashquick for nothing. ;)
well you beat me to it.

Hi oldman,
I appreciate your response. Your answer 'hit the nail right on the head'.
I discovered the answer just prior to your post.
Regardless, I appreciate your help and I hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks and regards,

You have a good weekend too. You have an unusual userid. I think I came across it before. On the auhma forum and I think on a C/W musician's site.

Morning oldman,
You have an unusual userid. I think I came across it before. On the auhma forum and I think on a C/W musician's site.
Could be me because I visit the Auhma forum regularly and have checked into some musical sites while searching for songs from the 60s.
Thanks and regards,
