Title: bootmgr.exe.mui
Post by: rddash on March 29, 2008, 06:43:33 PM
has anyone heard of this being infected?
It's a vista box and is supposed to reside in
E:\Boot\nb-NO\bootmgr.exe.mui
But after a search, I can't get any info on it.
Thanks.

I'm always suspicious of file names with double file extensions.

I don't know what search you did but a google on the file name returns many hits, http://www.google.com/search?q=bootmgr.exe.mui (http://www.google.com/search?q=bootmgr.exe.mui).

Also this doesn't have any info on the mui extension, which I also find strange, http://www.dotwhat.net/lang_eng/files_m/extension_mui/id_1854/ (http://www.dotwhat.net/lang_eng/files_m/extension_mui/id_1854/), a nice resource worth a bookmark.

What is your E: drive ?

Good old windows giving me the hebe-gebes why they don't they stick with single file type mui could be an executable in the same way as xyz could as long as there is a file association for it.
