Hi everyone,
Exactly like on this topic, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=18879.0 (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=18879.0), Ntvdm make the 16 bit program of my girlfriend run slowly. stop protection, customize the standard shield don't make any difference. but if i remove avast the problem disapear.
Before, i been on the ver. 4.7 with no problem...what's the difference between 4.7 ans 4.8 on 16 bit application ??? how i can resolve this ??? someone can help me please ?

Did you use Norton antivirus in this computer before?

no, never (i don't want this shit on any computer...bad feeling about norton 2000). it's a new windows xp installation and avast and the os are update.

This morning i have make a update for avast home 4.8.1201 and i have no problem with NTVDM.EXE !! it work great !!!
i have a laptop and a desktop, twice on avast home free. i have see the update on my laptop and i have try it on my desktop.
I don't know what you have change on this update...but LET IT LIKE THIS !!! IT'S GREAT !!
