Title: Can't even QUIT avast in order to uninstall it!

Hi folks, apologies if I've overlooked this topic in a post elsewhere... I downloaded avast for mac a few days ago, and am sort of spooked by the fact that I can't QUIT the program. If I look in the Avast! Menu, the quit options are greyed out. If I try to quit from the dock, it quits and then reopens so fast that I'm unable to use my app-removal program...

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. As I mentioned, I'm kind of weirded out that I can't quit the program or turn it off-- if I was able to get that under control, I'd probably want to keep the software :)
