Just save it as a JPEG file.. Or cut it into half and post the picture again or try minimize all the programs your running and make a screen shot again. And how much bytes is the file?

I,m learning new stuff here !!!
how is this
-
Can you try change your desktop background picture? And see weather the white is still there or not?
-
Yes it is it stays in place when you change the desktop theme it gos away when you activate a screen saver but is always there
uninstalled & reinstalled a new download this morning to see if that would clear it but no luck

The white block left behind seems a poor memory (video) management...
How much RAM do you have?
-
448 MB the program has run for at least 18 months without a hitch and then BLOCKS!!!!!

Ok... it's very few for Windows XP... I think your computer is no refreshing the video correctly and left behind that white mark... Sorry, I can't see other solution than:
1. Adding more RAM.
2. Refreshing your wallpaper (right clicking the desktop area).

Refreshing hasn't shifted it at all ???'

Change your desktop wallpaper twice and, probably, it will correct.
I know this is a pain... but I can't figure out how to solve... sorry.

Thank very much for your help
How ever many times you change things its still there

I know that the white block is annoying but it doesnt cause any problem to your computer.
Just leave the white block there or change your desktop wallpaper as Tech said.
