Title: Avast hard disk
Post by: mli170 on March 29, 2004, 04:39:19 AM
I installed Avast and when i run a scan it ate up my hard disk space on my C: drive.  I mean i have no disk space left.  I am running Windows SE.  I also installed it on my D: drive and it still took all my C: drive space up.  What can i do to solve this problem?

avast! need space to unpack archives (zip, rar, etc.) to scan the files into them. Do you have such these arquives or, at least, one big file of this type?
How much free space do you have?
Did you already scanned your system on-line? Some viruses do exactly this: eat your HDD space...  :(
