I have windows xp and I installed avast home edition one month ago. It found win 32 trojan-gen but it didn't destroy it. How can i destroy it?
Should I desable the standard protection when I run the full scan? Thank you.

You don't have to disable the standard protection when running a full scan...
You can send the infected files to Chest.
You can use avast! Virus Cleaner 1.0.177 (http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclnr.exe) ;)
