Title: How do I turn off voice notification of automatically installed updates?
Post by: pelican1 on June 01, 2008, 05:07:30 AM
Having the placard come up is enough; the loud voice is unpleasant (at least to me).  BTW is there a way to turn down the virus has been discovered alarm without turning down the sound level of my whole computer?  When I hear it I jump!   :o

Right click on the avast icon in the task tray, select program settings,
then click on sounds in the left column, and from there you can put a tick in the disable all avast sounds box, or
you can click on settings, and the sound window will open, allowing you to customize what sound you hear for what event. Just scroll down the list until you find the avast events.
Hope this helps ;)

Thanks Papa.  I don't kow how I missed that.  Now it's as quiet as a church mouse.    ;D
