Title: Excluding VBS & JS scripts
Post by: TobyG on June 11, 2008, 06:02:36 PM
Hi,

I'm using System Center Essentials on my network and am having problems on some clients with an error about various .vbs and .js files failing to execute as Avast is blocking them.

I need these scripts to execute.

Firstly, why are they being blocked and secondly, can I somehow exclude them from Avast's scanning?  Ideally I'd like to exclude an entire folder and all subfolders and files from the Avast scanning as I don't want it interfering with these files when they're trying to execute.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Toby.

Does it report any virus in those file? (if yes, which one?)
If not, there's no reason it should block them.
