Now that we know today's VBS Malware-gen was a false positive, is it safe to remove it from our quarantined bin?

Welcome to the forums, alaura. :)
What entries do you have in quarantine?

I can't figure out how to copy the entries, but basically they're all the yahoo ones that began popping up yesterday:
yahoo[1].htm VBS Malware - gen
-
Right click the file into Chest (Quarantine) and scan it.
If it is clean, you can restore it (them).

Okay, there were 5 of the yahoo ones - no virus - I restored each but they're still showing up in the chest. Should I now delete them.
Another one had a virus detected ( A0152117.dll Win32:Adware - gen (Adw). I assume I do not want to restore that one, but should I delete it?
Sorry for the questions, but I'm new with Avast.
TIA

These particular files can be deleted. When restoring, avast keeps the file into Chest, you need to manually delete them. In other case, there is no rush to delete the chested files. Let them there for further analysis and eventually restoring.

Files into Chest are safe and can't harm. Let it there for two weeks, rescan, check your system is working fine without it, them delete it ;)
