Title: Screenshots of Avast results/finding virus
Post by: Tyred on June 23, 2008, 04:03:11 PM
Hi, I'm writing a guide for novices about how to use Avast, but I have a problem: I've never seen what Avast does when it finds a virus during a manual scan. (It's never found any on my machine...  ;D)

This though, makes it rather hard to explain to someone else what to do in that case! So, would someone help me out with some screenshots/brief description of what Avast does? The help file is a little vague.

Download www.eicar.org test virus and you'll see the WebShield alarm.
If you disable WebShield and download the file, saving to your disk, you can scan it and see the virus alert.

Some screenshots:

Standard Shield detection, email detection, Web Shield detection.

Edit: Note these screenshots may differ as they can change depending on the skin you happen to be using, but the layout should be the same..
