Title: New variant of bagle virus
Post by: molder2k on June 25, 2008, 04:41:45 PM
Hi, i've downloaded with eMule a program with Bagle virus inside.. Avast tryed to stop it but unsuccessfully:( Now I have removed (i hope..) the virus with elibagla.exe, safebootkeyrepair.... etc. but I still have problems with wifi connections. I'm unable to start Zero configuration service beacause dependence problems.... Can someone help me to fix all problems in my xp sp3?

Thanks and sorry for my english.
Marco

Bagle destroys avast installation... Were you using the latest version with the self-defense module on?
I suggest a full computer on-line scanning:
Kaspersky (http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner) (very good detection rates)
ESET NOD32 (http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/)
Trendmicro housecall (http://www.trendmicro.com/hc_intro/default.asp)
F-Secure (http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml)
BitDefender (http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html) (free removal of the malware)

Yes I was using the latest version of avast with all options on. I need only to restore/fix register problems regarding the zero configuration service now...
