Title: Registration Query

I downloaded and registered with Avast some months ago.

Following a recent hard drive failure I've had to download the free version again.  I've also re-registered giving the same details as my original registration but have *not* received an email with registration number from Alwil.  

What happens now as regards the registration process please?

You can use the old registration key if you still have it.
Are you sure that your ISP or your email client do not filter that email?
Do you have a spam killer?

Anyway, if you wait more than 3 hours, please, register again to receive a new number. Hope you succeed... Luck!

Sadly I didn't keep the original registration key and it's been about five hours since I tried, so will try again.  Thank you.  :)

Yay! It worked the second time around.  E-mail received and new reg. number entered.  Thanks again for the help.   :)

I too have had the same experience.  I've tried twice and still no e-mail - even after tracking my ISP spam filter as well.  I will have to download another free virus utility in the mean-time.

Wait... Can you send an email to support@avast.com telling your problem?
On weekends a lot of 'mysteries' could happen...
You would regret changing your antivirus... Untill you get the Registration key you can use avast PRO for 60 days... Don't worry, in 2 months you will receive the key for sure  8)
