Title: Is Avast Home 4.8 okay for Vista?

Running here fine with vista 32 premium.In fact avast has always been the stablest av out of the very many that ive trialled over the years.What exactly did the poster say was the issue?

I haven't heard any avast developers recommend 4.7 over 4.8 on vista, in fact quite the reverse.If avast is running fine on your pc and theres no conflicts with any other software then just enjoy it.Avast has a good reputation of very stable releases.

Even going to the point of remot connection to some users systems to identify and resolve the problem.

So I have no idea where this spurious two line usenet statement originated or who posted it, but I certainly wasn't on these forums.

They don't know avast and are talking non-sense...
