Title: False detections

I recommended avast! home to a friend, recently.  He just bought a new Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista.  There is a huge problem though.  The on access protection is reporting every single executable as a virus, including its own setup.

I have been using avast! for several years with great results.  However, I will have to stop using avast! and find something else, if this continues.

Strange... it even seems false positives...
Besides what Igor asks, please, let us know which is your operational system and avast version and virus database version.
