Title: Need keylogger "on"
Post by: MrD on August 17, 2008, 01:41:01 PM
Hi,

When Im working from home I need to run a keylogger for debugging and testing scripts. So Ive just installed this virus softeware and added the keylogger to the exceptions list. But it still gives a warning that a virus is detected

Is there something special I need to do for this type of application ?

Thanks

D

There are 2 exception list - one for on-demand scans in the common program settings, and one for Standard Shield (resident provider) in Standard Shield configuration.
What/where did you add?

Thanks for the reply.

I put it in the one that does not cover resident protection. I didn't know there was another. How do I set that one ?

Left click the avast 'a' icon, select the Standard Shield provider.

add it to the exclusions list:
Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add
