Title: problem emailing a exe !

Hi there folks I have a problem I was hoping some maybe able to help me with when I try to email a exe to a friend avast tells me that there is a potential infected file. But when I run a scan on the file before I attach it to the email avast informs its clean …. Dose anyone have any idea why or how to stop this

try to zip it as an attachment... ;)

avast! uses heauristic scning for attachements,so it will always warn you if you'll try to send exe,com,pif,vbs and so on files...
Just select send anyway if you're sure its uninfected or simply ZIP it.

Btw, you can configure the heuristic sensitivity... if you often send/receive exe files, you may want to turn the warning off.
