Title: Process Guard
Post by: mbannon on April 11, 2004, 01:44:38 AM
Somewhere on this forum I read about the free version of Process Guard but a search doesn't turn it up.  The free version protects only one process and but I can't remember the avast! file that was recommended to protect.

Can anyone help?

mb,

Certainly.  :D

Quoted:  If a AV killing trojan like Beast 2.05 (modified versions) gets past your resident shield > Avast services will be shutdown when it succesfully injects in your system.

To protect against remote shutdown you need a kernel driven module implented and desgned especialy to prevent these shutdowns. This is NO easy task to program.

You can use in the meanwile the freeware "process guard" to protect your Avast servives against ALL known attacks.
