Title: mslagent (Trojan horse virus)
Post by: y2ken on April 12, 2004, 04:25:52 PM
My firewall (ZoneAlarm) kept asking me if I wanted to allow 'mslagent' to access the internet. I got suspicious and 'Googled' it and found out that 'mslagent' is a trojan horse virus! How do I remove it? Shouldn't Avast! have discovered and deleted this during a virus scan?

Thanks, I already tried Adaware and Spybot and ran a full Avast scan. The page you directed me too seems to be only for those who are using Norton Anti-Virus although they do give instructions to manually remove it from the registry. I'm not really comfortable with playing with the registry. What I did in the mean time was to disable the program from running at start-up by using 'msconfig' start-up control but it's still on my system and I would like to find an easier way to be rid of it. Thanks.
