Title: Reformatting a DELL computer to factory setting (from recovery partition)
Post by: se224141 on September 13, 2008, 06:42:47 AM
I am unable to restore my computer from the recovery partition. When I
double click Tools\PCrestore I get the message below and nothing
happens.

"Access to \Tools\dp.sc was denied."

Could you please suggest me what I can do to restore this computer
from recovery partition?

Hi...

This is something you have to perform before Windows is booted. Does the BIOS screen give you a key number to press to start the restore process?

Edit: It might be the F8 key. When starting the system tap on that key (when you see the BIOS screen) until you (hopefully) see a menu.

Best Regards...
