I use the Firefox browser and was wondering since I started using AVAST the first time I go on the internet for the day it takes afew extra seconds before I can doing anything after my home page loads up.
Is this normal????

Maybe... it could have being scanning the http traffic while loading your page.
Is WebShield showing the scanning of these pages? (see WebShield properties).
