Title: Licensing in TSE environment
Post by: AslakHanov on October 22, 2008, 10:30:38 AM
Hello all!

I've a question that could be considered as a newbie question, but....

Here is my customer's configuration:

1 TSE server (windows server 2008 64bits), and 10 clients working on the server. The client computers already have antivirus licences.

Can he buy a single avast server edition licence for his TSE (without considering the CAL), or must he buy 1 avast server licence plus 10 avast pro edition licences in this example?

If somebody knows, during the install of avast server, he can choose the way to install avast (tse mode or standard), but the next steps are not explained in the documentation. Somebody knows how it works?

Thank you very much,

Aslak

Aslak

1 Server Edition will do the job fine, if you bought clients when the workstation av expires you could manage them all centrally!

But the install of TS is simple click terminal server and not normal continue through, import your purchased license and reboot.

Its very simple to install and rarely we have issues with our resellers, my 10 year old does them  ;D
