Title: scanning time

Hi,

I would like to ask if it is normal for avast that when scanning huge file such as .avi and .vob, it will take several minutes to scan. I am asking if it is normal because with the previous antiviruses i used to use, it only took few seconds to scan such media files.

Depends on how do you start the scanning.
Right clicking the file will start the most thorough method, so whole file against all kind of malware. On Professional version you can set this more properly.
