Title: [4.8.1282] Security Center doesn't detect avast! at all

What's up guys? The beta worked just fine (4.8.1275) but this final release just doesn't integrate into WSC properly. At all.
I also tried repairing and reinstalling (with cleaning in between). No joy.
How this happened is a mistery to me considering the beta was fine...

Does it make any difference if you restart the avast antivirus service?

Yes, that fixed the problem. Though avast! fell into some RPC error so none of the providers would work.
I had to restart but now it works. Not sure why it failed to do that when i installed it (it was a clean install).

No problem here, WSC on XP SP3 recognised avast directly after update and reboot.

No RPC errors either, clean as a whistle, apart from it being a large update 6.8MB (I believe) going from beta to standard version, no fun on dial-up.

Interestingly Microsoft's Auto Update kicked in during the avast update, which I interrupted when I disconnected to reboot after the avast update, chancing my luck perhaps, thankfully no issues there either.

Did an update from the beta and I don't seem to have this problem on my system.  It could be an installer issue or something if you did a fresh install.

No problems with WSC on Vista H/P sp1 32 bit.
