Hi, Avast for MAC. It is in my applications folder, and it seems to have been activated, but I can't be sure. Is there a place where I can open it and do a virus scan manually? On the PC I had before there was such a window with a virus chest, etc. Here I can't find anything.
Thanks for your help...

You can always check with the EICAR test file (http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm)
Don't know if a MAC has something like the taskmanager in Windows, but if it has, checking there is also a option.
Or search the Avast for mac forum (HERE) (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=5.0) to see if there are more/other options listed.

Hi...
Along with what Eddy has said, I would think you would a blue ball with the letter "a" on it in your toolbar that rotates when a file is scanned. Do you see this?
Best Regards...
