Title: Help
Post by: tkeewee on April 23, 2004, 01:49:14 PM
I use Netscape for my Mailbox
Everytime I send an email to someone the first time
It asks me for a mailbox password
My friend uses the Avast with Outlook, and he doesnt get asked for a password
Is it possible to avoid that part as it is a pain to have to type my mailbox password each time
Regards Tkeewee

Hi,

this is a deliberate security setting of either Netscape or your Email-Provider (which is your provider?? ... and which login-type (Smtp-after POP etc..));
and imho it should not be changed
Whcih netscape version do you have ?

read the help/FAQs of your Mail provider & of Netscape  on security/passwords/SMTP/sending Mail

try searching/editing in Netscape->EDIT->Mail settings->SMTP-Server or so..

 ;)
