Why doesn't avast home include a heuristic like some other av's?

Internet Mail provider and Outlook/Exchange plugin allow Heuristic analysis...
Standard Shild (resident provider) is another question and other av do not include it very often or very easy  ;)

I think quite a few other A/V have heuristics, im always stumped as to why only the mail providers have it & not the standard shield, yes there might be a few false positives, but that is what the chest id for so U can keep the file till U know it is clean

avast! is currently not focused in Heuristics dor Standard Shield,but in fast avast! antivirus response team to release VPS asap. There is also a very agressive generic detection method which picks even spyware and trojans so you can treat this almost as heuristic.
If the definitions part is good than you don't need heuristic module and this certanly applies to avast! (and Alwil team hehe) :)
But if you impliment it there wont be any damage ;)
