I don't believe so, I think it is for the avast 4 windows Pro versions. You could contact sales(at)avast(dot)com.

Though with the windows home version I don't know if you could download the Pro version and that would then work with the Home Pro edition as it is good for 10 windows systems. Best to confirm with sales though.

You can use a Pro key in a home installation... it will become pro when you add the key...
I never tested my Pro license in my Linux, but why will I do that if the Home (free) is the only version available for Linux...

The license that comes with the Home Pro edition is different from the stand alone Pro version I believe, so I don't think you can convert the Home by inserting the Home Pro Edition license.

For the Windows version, Tech is correct. If you have avast! 4.8 Home installed and you enter a 4.8 Pro License Key, the pro components will be downloaded, installed and activated automatically.

The problem being a stand alone version of avast Pro and the Home Pro edition pack are different and the license that comes with the avast! Home Pro Edition as far as I'm aware from other posts in the forums are different as it can be used with up to 10 copies of an installed Pro version.

This area of confusion was why I suggested contacting sales.

Don't think so, but if you download the software you have a 60-day trial version

The Demo license is automatic generated when you install avast.
If you uninstall avast, the next installation will have a trial version of only 6 days.
