Title: Cannot disable Self Defense Module
Post by: Sonicality on December 25, 2008, 03:41:16 AM
Hello, new here.

Anyhow, when I go to the troubleshooting menu, and check the box to disable the self-defense module, I click OK and the window goes away. However, it is still active, and next time I bring up the menu, the box is unchecked again.

Can anyone help?

I've just tried this, and after ticking the box and clicking OK a fairly large warning window appears asking for confirmation.
Based on that, I'd think you should be seeing that, too.
Are you running as an administrator or user account?

Are you using Vista?
Aren't you receiving any confirmation message?
Which is your avast version (4.8.1296)?
