Yes; see http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html .  And anti-rootkit protection is included also.

 :)  Hi :

I have no idea as to the level of protection from spyware that Avast
provides !? Many, if not all, of the "regular" Helpers on these forums use
"other" programs, such as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, SUPERAntiSpyware,
etc as a "layer" combatting spyware, trojans, etc .

It has spyware protection but not as a separate module but as a built in one and you are protected with it .In addition you can install MALWAREBYTES ANTIMALWARE FREE  and do regular weekly scans

It does and there is no need for a separate spyware scan as it is integrated into the normal scanning.

The major difference bing when you use a specific anti-spyware application it scans the registry where avast doesn't do a registry scan for spyware. If a spyware infection is found in the scan then I believe avast looks for associated registry entries for this file.

I do however have other anti-spyware applications, see my signature.

Indeed, not for combating but just a second opinion.
avast is doing a very good job as an antispyware.
I've scanned my computer on-line and I really doubt that MBAM and SuperAntispyware are that much ahead. One or two false positives and one or two missed by avast. All missed by the antispywares...  ::)
